• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB/Comm question

Hello all. New to the forum and I was hoping someone who has installed the CB module on their bike might have tried a 7 pin Harley headset to see if it would work. I am going to have the module installed on my '11 Limited and wanted to use the headsets I already own. Any insight would be appreciated. Great site.

It's a 7 pin system for the Victory/Can-am. The J&M Audio website shows the Harley 7 pin cord listed with a different part number than the Victory/Can-am cord.

Harley vs Can=Am Plug Set-Up

I have a Harley Intercom System and the two are not plug compatible. The pin assignmnet for the Harley is different than the one for the Can-Am. I have looked at the Can-An factory schematic and they do not define what pin number does what. The Harley pin assicnment is defined in the HD schematics. The only way you "might" be able to use the Harley intercom system is to build a adapter plug (male to female using the 7 pin din connectors) so as to interface the two. I asked the dealer if he could find out the pin assignment that Can-Am uses and the factory never responded to his inquiry. We finally gave up and bought the Can-Am intercoms and also bought two additional helmets to have a working system for each, Harley and Can-Am. By the way, the Can-Am intercom is superior to our Harley system. No where near as much background noise from the wind and the motor with Can-Am system. We have them in Full Face Helmets.
Hope this helps.
