CB audio popping sound

I'm hoping someone can help me.
My husband and I both have cb's. For some reason my audio on my CB seems to be about half the volume of what it has been. Both of us recently heard a "pop" through the headset. After this pop the sound or volume goes to the normal higher level. I stuggle to hear all the time.
And yes, likely you may be thinking it's my hearing... NOT
Do I need new wiring? New Helmet? hmmm.

Does that also mean that each of you has your own Spyder ?

Either way, start out by exchanging helmets and see if the trouble follows your helmet and it's wiring.
