• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

(its your fault,I was looking at your bike!)

:agree: I was sitting in a Tim Hortons watching the cars in the drive through when a car pulls up and is looking at my :spyder2: Then crash !! Right into the car in front. Guy gets out and points to the :spyder2:.

Nearly had the same thing happen to me.
I was following a pickup and I could see the driver checking out my Spyder in his mirror. The lights ahead went red, I slowed down and he didnt. Next thing his looked up and locked up, skidded to a halt about 2 inches from the car in front of him. Very close :lecturef_smilie:

THATS FUNNY RIGHT THERE!

No accidents to report, tho I did see a fellow staring at me while at a light and just as I took off, he dropped his 32oz BigGulp on his foot and had a little hissyfit.:2thumbs:

People are nuts!

A couple of weeks ago, my husband (on his Harley) and I (on my Spyder) were crossing the Jefferson Barracks Bridge from Illinois back into Missouri. We were in the slow lane, doing about 60 mph. I noticed a car on my left side, pacing me. I figured the passenger was getting a good look.

I glanced over, there was no passenger, but the DRIVER (a woman) was LEANING over toward her passenger seat. When I looked at her, she ASKED ME A QUESTION!!!!! AT 60 MPH!!! I pointed to me ear, and shook my head and she drove on. CRAZY!

I was sitting at a traffice light one time, and the driver of a pickup truck TOOK MY PICTURE with his cell phone as he was TURNING LEFT in front of me! Also had a guy driving one of those big cement trucks come up beside me and take my picture too -- we were doing 60 mph!

WHAT is wrong with people???
:gaah:

I have had several close calls and have witnessed many high-speed photographers in the 15 months I have been a Spyder owner. It's pretty crazy the number of people that still have not yet saw the Spyder. Of course I have only have seen about a half dozen on the road myself (not including those I intentionally met up with).

On a narrow road, I had a guy in a pickup slow down in front of me to check my Spyder out in his mirror, while a guy behind me was getting too close with the same idea. Soon as it was safe to pass I left these goofs behind. Dont need to be the ham in a sandwich.

I pulled up at the local drug store and people started gathering and asking questions. I finally had to say I had to go. Then when I came out people had their camera phones out and taking pictures. I'm not used to or like the attention but what can you do when you ride a SPYDER.:ohyea:

i went to the local coffee shop, and about 50 people turned and checked me out..
than a dipstick shows up and asks me why my feet are braced in on the floorboards, So i told em im in a wheelchair and cannot walk, oh how do you get off the bike he asks? hmmm i felt like telling him "well i throw myself on the pavement and drag myself with my tongue all over the place"... but instead told him I havnt got the mount for my chair on the bike yet.. he still looked confused and asks me how i get on... So I just talked about the bike and kept him on ignore.. I had a massive crowd show up in under 30 seconds to check it..

The hotties liked the bike.. This is going to be a fun summer...

If you look at my avitor photo you will notice it ws taken on the freeway at speed. It turns out that the person who took it was a dude from work. He gave me the picture the next day.

Thats when I relized that he was the dude that almost hit a car in front of him when traffice slowed down. :lecturef_smilie:

Remember the two looks. Head turns and head snaps. The head turns are ok the head snaps the other driver is usually going to be in trouble.:lecturef_smilie:

Man how fast were you going? Looks like your wheel got stuck :roflblack:

I have had a couple of people take my picture with the cell phone, and one trucker gave me a thumbs up then hit his air horn. He got a big grin when I hit mine. I don't think I have caused any accidents but I did see one guy who was so intent watching me that he walked into a tree OK a sapling. I stopped at the butcher shop last Sat. and all the butchers came out to see the bike. I noticed they did not open for another hour and said I would come back "No come on in" so I got my order and as I left they locked the door just as another person pulled up in their car. The butchers just walked to the back meat cutting area. Sometimes it’s good to be a spyder-rider.
