• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can You Tour on a Ryker?

So we recently got a 2020 RTL and have been riding two up. But now she wants to ride by herself :)

She wants a 900 Ryker, but she also wants something that she can do tours on. Is the Ryker tour-able?

If so, what add-ons do you recommend to make it tour worthy?

Side note, if we do go to riding our on rides, I'll likely sell the RTL and get a two wheel touring bike for me. The Honda NT1100 DCT is catching my eye lately.

Yes.

Setup for my second 3,000 mile trip. A member here, @greer, has taken hers to Alaska and back.

See my signature for what I have added. What is needed is really up to how you travel, minimalist or glamper. I'm kind of in between. Questions, holler.

It ALWAYS pays to do a bit of searching BEFORE starting a new thread - there's very little about Spyders/Rykers at hasn't been at least discussed here since the Forum started...

Check out this thread:

I've seen a fella who was riding around the World on a Honda 150; and there's a sorta unofficial bi-annual (I think?) event here in Oz where a bunch of fellas ride around the edge of the entire continent on Postie bikes, 50cc bikes - so in answer to the question, 'can you tour on a Ryker?' Heck yeah!

You can tour on ANYTHING if you want to!! Is it smart to do that, maybe not, but it's an experience and you'll be out there doing something! (y)

I just bought one 5-2. They may be hard to find yet, just started coming into USA last week of April. Previously earlier in the year came in as police bikes. Only one color, 1 model, no saddlebags or top box, but you can buy them. I like it a lot. Had 2 NT700 before, last one somebody decided to hit me, out of work 6 weeks starting March 7th.

I bought mine the same day it was assembled and on showroom floor. Honda was shipping 1 bike per dealership, then another wave came thru, so you may have to hunt around. Join the www.nt-owners.org website to find out more. 700 and 1100
