Hello all,
While installing an aftermarket Amplifier I crossed a signal-in wire with a speaker-output wire. I didn't let out the magic smoke, but after fixing the mistake there is a hum from the speakers now, even if I plug the factory amp back in. So I’m wondering if I may have screwed the pooch on this one, and what I may be able to do to remedy the issue?
Just curious if I should purchase BUDS to see if it will tell me the issue?
Thanks for your input and time.

		 found out on my own.
 found out on my own.

I certainly don't have too much helpful knowledge about speakers, nor much expertise with BUDS (altho I might have what could be called 'a fumbling grasp of the basics'!! I basically fumble along until I work out how to do things!!

But is there any chance you could share what it was that you found out, in order to help others who may have the same question later?
