• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can Am ST1 Helmets

Commander

I trying to install headsets in my ST1 helmet. any suggestions/ pics. there seems to be spots to install the speakers, but they seem very tight. are there any mods that have to be done on the helmet?

We have four ST-1 helmets. Just push them all the way in until you only see the wire. You should be able to install the complete headset in 15 mins. You can pull the liner out around the sides to feed the speaker to the other side and then use a flat blade screwdriver to tuck it back in. You can also use a small piece of duct tape to hold the wire up against the inside shell

"Thanks, they just seem a little more snug that I would like"

I do the same with the little strips of duct tape to hold the wires. If your tight with the shell foam you can use a spoon to "massage" a little clearance.
I did something different with the ear pockets for the speakers of a friends ST1 but I can't for the life of me remember.../it was something really subtle but made a big difference. Something with the liner foam pockets???

Before you install them, hook them up to a music source and hold the speakers up to your ears and listen to them. Move them around until you hear the "sweet spot", or the position relative to your ears that produce the best sound and loudest volume. With that knowledge, you will then know what to listen for as you move them around in the helmet to get that same "sweet spot" sound quality.
