• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Can't really answer your direct question.......but vertical-mounted license plates are not legal in many States.........be aware of that potential problem. Of course, you would need to install a license plate light as well.

A flat object like this acts as a washer, and should not affect your ability to torque the axle nut. It takes two men and a strong boy to get 96 lb ft anyway. :D The only possible issue would be if it took up too much space, and did not allow room to get the safety cotter key back in the axle. As was previously said, vertical plates are a no-no in many places, use the horizontal version. As was also said, you need to make provisions to light the plate. That one will get you busted quick as a wink almost anywhere.

I like this look much better. Check with your police dept., in some states the vertical plates are illegal. That guy on ebay makes the plate horizontal or vertical. I haven't been pulled over yet here in Southern California. Another ryder I know who lives in San Diego said police in his area were bothering him about his vertical plate so he changed it to the horizontal. Some chopper bikes are sold here with a vertical plate factory, so if I do get stopped for it I will fight the ticket. Just make sure you have a light on the plate frame.
