There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have at least three pairs of BRP "Spyder" gloves. Bought all of them back between 08 and 10. They are still perfect and going strong for me.
I have a pair of the ones you are showing.
However a couple other brands, fingerless, and lightweight versions lasted three to five years.
Most gloves are made out of the country. I don't get to excited, because gloves usually are not to expensive to start with.
When it comes to gear, I no longer buy the "branded" stuff anyway. Usually overpriced. Just bought a really fine 4 seasons textile jacket for around $95. Just as good as the Firstgear and BRP textiles that I paid $500 for. They are still going good, but I just wanted a change after 10 years.

Seems like a lot of products nowadays self destruct after a certain length of time regardless of level of use. Many years ago I got a boot and clothing allowance as part of my job, purchased many items I had no immediate use for. When I dug them out they were always good. Can't say the same anymore. :sour:

yep, I currently have a pair of Tourmaster winter gloves that are 11 years old and still look pretty good. When I was still working, they got used almost every day on winter mornings below 50° from 2009 to 2017 when I retired. My summer gloves are First Gear and Olympia and last from 6 to 10 years. That's with almost daily use from early spring through fall.

Yup! Also have a couple pair of Tourmaster. Still looking good after many years.
