I'll try to make this as painless as possible. :helpsmilie:
My last paycheck was 31Jan09. Laid off along with supervisor because new job requirements after merger were the need for being licensed or licensable. Both my supervisor and I are Ph.D. students (me in educational psychology).
Receiving EDD checks for a few more weeks. Then, unless I have a job, I'll have to part with the Spyder.
Here are my ideas (from least comfortable to most comfortable) to keep the Spyder or not have to turn the keys over to the credit union:
1: Ask everybody on the forum to donate a dollar each to bring down the principal. But that's begging.
Not to mention embarrassing.
2: Ask if anybody wants to buy the Spyder: just take over payments.
The Spyder has 15,500+/- miles on it. My monthly payment is $267.18. Thirteen months have gone by. Fifty-nine months to go. Six-year warranty. LoJack. 12 VDC adapter in trunk. RAM Mount for GPS. Yellow.
3: Ask if anybody has a job they can offer me in or around Rancho Cucamonga. I can push a broom and wash dishes. I am great with kids (have two young adult daughters now). I can do consulting for conflict management in your companies. I am a combat vet: I served as an Army Reserve chaplain with a combat stress control unit in Baghdad, 2003-2004. I can work night or day shift. I can teach at a community college. I need a job. I've made as little as 1,500 a month and as much as 6K a month. Right now, all I need is a fair offer to do something.
Any other ideas?:gaah:
Thanks for listening.
