• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. California Insurance...

Ok guys! I just got my Spyder #133 Nov 29th and I am having trouble finding Insurance on this baby. No one knows what it is or how to insure it. I've been quoted from Progressive and Geico, but they don't want to give me full coverage. McGraw was going to give me full coverage for $625 yr then called the next day to say that they couldn't give me Comp/Coll. I cancelled it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I bought my coverage through Progressive Insurance. I bought my coverage on December 1st. They will give you full coverage! I paid $600 for mine. I'm also in California. It boggles my mind that my GSXR-750 insurance is 2,000 a year for full coverage and this is only $600.

Thanks, I checked Foremost, they wanted $3200. yr for full coverage! Progressive didn't have uninsured motorist coverage when I called. I got a great deal thru Nationwide Ins. $598 yr, and they will give me a discount if I take the motorcycle safety course. Not bad!

Hmmm...I looked under my progressive insurance details today and you are right, there is no uninsured motorist coverage. So what happens if I'm hit by someone who is uninsured in a state where it's apretty high possibilty that someone is uninsured?

As I understand it, uninsured motorists insurance covers your medical bills in the event you are struck by someone with no liability ins. It does not cover damage to your vehicle. So if you already have good medical insurance, not having uninsured motorist coverage is not a big deal. I am retired military, so I don't cary UM.
