I wondered if any electronic adjustments must be made to the Spyder controls, when those larger wheels are applied?
C&S Custom fits Honda, Acura and Ford wheels on the Can-Am Spyder.C & S Custom announced today that they have released wheel adapters for the Can-Am Spyder. These adapters allow an almost infinite choice of custom wheels that fit the 5x114 bolt pattern of Honda, Acura, and Ford.
"The C&S Custom's wheel adapters are a direct bolt-on part, which means you can radically customize your Spyder in less than an hour," said Jerome Allen, General Manager. "As long as the clearances are correct, just bolt on the adapter, then the wheel, and go."
The Can-Am Spyder comes equipped with seven automotive technologies, including ABS, traction control and stability control, to name a few. Now enthusiasts can add less costly replacement wheels and tires to their trike.
As with all the firm's products, these wheel adapters are machined in-house using only top quality 6061 T6 aluminum. This aluminum is military aircraft quality. It's specified by C&S because of its tensile strength, fatigue limit and resistant to corrosion even when the surface is abraded.
The wheel adapter allows the enthusiast to stand out in the crowd while reducing wheel and tire replacement costs. Not inconsequentially, it makes the Can-Am Spyder the center of attention.

Having your choice of many other rim styles, would be an advantage in some ways.
But at the cost of losing all those lovely fenders,.but enlarging the rear tire size is a whole other matter "entirely"! ;-)
