• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Buying a used Spyder

When purchasing a used Spyder, or any vehicle, you are somewhat dependent on the seller to provide accurate information on the bike such as maintenance and/or problem history. Given the electronic monitoring capability of the Spyder is it possible for a dealer to "plug into" this system and provide the buyer with an accurate history of the bike?

Actually it gets better …. all you really need is the VIN & a helpful dealer …… But most spyders that are owner maintained won't have that info in the BRP record system...……...good luck …… Mike :ohyea:

The dealer can plug-in and tell you a bit about the owner's riding style, rpm, shifting, etc. Mike is right if the seller self-maintained, but if the seller purchased oil, filters, etc from the dealer and/or has good records, you can get some sense of maintenance.

Good luck.
