• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bureaucracy gone mad

In the State of Victoria (Australia), a Spyder must be registered as a car (> 2 active wheels) but you need a bike licence to ride it (< 4 wheels). Go figure. So you get issued with a ridicuously wide car plate.

Which then dies of fatigue. However, the law states that a plate must be visible from 20 metres. Says nothing about decipherable. Ironic what letters remain. Note that all good bike kits should have cable ties and 100mph tape.

However, you can buy a "bike rack" plate for when you carry a bicycle on a rack on the back of you car and cover the original plate. Problem solved.

Geez, dicko, that would be sad of it weren't so hilarious!

You did solve the problem, but what about the vertical mount plate racks (questionable legality in some US states)?

By the way, I love your grey "mini tail pack" in the top photo!

Plate

Suppose you going to pay to get new plate, thats pretty bizarre.Wonder what they would think if you photo and shrink to smaller size and laminate to lexan ?

In answer to some of the above:

The black/grey bag is a waterproof bag that I got from an Outdoor/Hiking shop.

Cannot put plate at side here as far as I know.

Cannot make own plate. A reason plates are embossed (stamped) is so that if the vehicle is involved in a fire and the paint burns off, the number is still available. VIN plates were the same so I gather these new stick-on VIN decals can survive a fire.
