• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bulletin 2011-7 Done Today

Having read last thursday on this forum about Bulletin 2011-7, software update for the throttle body, I called my dealer who checked the VIN on the computer and said to bring it down this morn at 9am. I did, and they did, along with "campaign 2011-8" which involved replacing a couple grommets on side panels. I didn't ask which ones but I think they were the top rear single one each of the radiator panels. Didn't take more than 15-20 min to do both under warranty.

Along with this I asked them to loosen the engine oil drain plug as I had been unable to get it out. They said it was stripped from factory and so the mech used a chisel to tap on it and it came lose. He replaced the plug with a new one under warranty.

Another Throttle Body "Motor" Updated

Rode with a buddy today to his dealer and they did his update while we waited, incl two new grommets. Svc mngr said computer determined if throttle body motor (what he called it) needed replacement or just updated and also commented that letters were being sent by BRP to everyone.

They had a new 2010 Silver RT they got from another dealer. I love the silver of that year. :D

I had the 2011 software done today and dealer said there is a recall on brake spring. They have ordered the parts and will have it done next Wed. with 600 mile service.
