• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bulletin #127064 - Rear Shock Slow Leak

I happened to stumble upon the following information posted on Spydermates.com, and thought I would share. I read through a lot of the Owners Manual, focusing on the F3 specifics, but know I glossed over the "pre-ride checklist" having owned an RT before this. I did notice it bottom out during my first ride, and adjusted it when I got home, so now I know what that feels like. I'm glad to be aware that the rear suspension will need to be checked regularly (every week according to the chart below), but not thrilled that it is "normal for the A.C.S. to lose air over a period time".

Anyone put a FOBO Bike sensor on their rear shock yet?

The most interesting information in this bulletin is that there is reference to a "self-adjusting" kit (PART #219400738) similar to the kit some models of the RT have. But in searching for the part number, it doesn't appear to be available yet.

Yes superman finless bob has installed a air pressure monitor on the rear air shock he has a video like always

Why yes he did! Would you look at that! I see it's for the RT, but gives you an idea how that works. Even more interesting is that the FOBO Bike app will recognize a 4th sensor, even though it is set for a trike.

I just went out and tried it on my F3, and the sensor clears the Urban Rack. Not sure about the passenger seat, yet.

Looks like I'll be buying an extra FOBO sensor! :ohyea:

My 2012 RT sm5 is Manually adjusted and even after a Replaced Bag ( Under Warranty) I still attach my slime Mini compressor first thing before a ride and if the air is down to 2-5 pounds I plug the compressor in the trunk for just a second or 2 and bump the pressure up to 12-15 pounds which is all I need for a single 200 pound male.
It holds the pressure fine for the 3 hour ride and is the same when I return BUT 10 Days later it will have dropped down slowly again. Life sucks but someone has to live it?:roflblack:

I am surprised you can USE a AIR Compressor without doing damage! The factory dual air suspension on my Vulcan Voyager 1700 you had to use a special low volume hand air pump to prevent seal damage. They never leaked over a short term(month) when I use to check them.

The key is "A second or two!"
