• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BULBS

The handbook for my 2017 Limited has confused me. Been digging round the house for spare bulbs and the book is not too clear .
Rear indicators are shown as 21W. As they are behind clear lenses they are orange. This normally means the pins are offset. True or false?
Dipped headlight is shown as an HHB3. Can't find anything on that at all. Was wondering if it's a misprint for Hb3.

Dual filament bayonet base bulbs have to have offset pins to force them to be installed in the correct orientation. So the correct filament goes with the correct function.

Single filament bayonet base bulbs sometimes have offset pins as well. Why? :dontknow:

Possibly to stop dumb owners fitting clear bulbs behind clear lenses so turning indicators into reversing lights.

I don't think so. I have never seen a difference in the pin offset for a bulb of the same type whether amber or clear. Take for example 1156 or 1156A only difference is color. Both are symmetrical pins.

If all fails....

take the bulb to your local autopart store and match it up. The amber or clear is not a problem they will carry them both mostly in single filament bulbs...

Honest. The one I have found is offset. If I could work out how to,post a photo I could prove it. Maybe it's just a Euro thing. Still would like to know what's fitted as I don't want to start poking about with something only 3 days old.

Looking at a 2013 and I think a 2017 RT should the same.

Backup lights are 1156.
Rear turn signals 1156A.
Stop lights are LED
Tail/running lamp LED
License plate bulb 6418

It's an HB 3 bulb , which is also a 9005 ..... for some reason the 9005 is less expensive, but it's the EXACT same bulb :banghead::banghead::banghead: ..... Mike

Then why are you asking at all ??? :dontknow:

As I said , don't really want to start taking bulbs out to see exactly what they are as I thought with all the collective knowledge here someone should tell me it they have offset pins or not. Doesn't look like anybody knows ..

I have also fitted the Sena SM10 to the audio unit and have a pair of Sena 10S headsets.
Although the two have paired I am getting music both from the speakers and the headset at the same time. This definitely doesn't work as the headsets are a split second behind the speakers. If I mute the speakers it's all dead. Any ideas.
The spec here also included a Garmin Zumo. For the price of the vehicle I will be having a serious talk with the dealer as it's a discontinued 590 with a dead battery.
Fun times.

You have 2 options. Go into the settings and turn off the external speakers. The other option is to turn down the volume until it's just above mute and you can't hear the external speakers. That's what I do. That way I can easily switch when I want.

I specifically ordered my '14 with the Zumo 590 and within less than a year the battery would not take a full charge and the device kept giving me a "Battery Low" warning on shutdown. I reported this to Garmin and they replaced the battery under warranty. Try the squeaky wheel approach.

my conversation this morning went something like this-
I spend all this money and end up with a dead GPS which is now out of production. And by the way the battery is no more.
New one on the way I think.
