BUDS ????

How would our SpYder Club go about getting a BUDS system so we can do our maintenance?

my Dad lives in Amarillo and I have other family in the panhandle there. and it seems to me your nearest
dealer is far away? like maybe Lubbock?

knowing Can Am as I am learning on here, your club will probably have to buy a dealership franchise. Good luck in your search though.

I'm fairly certain you can purchase it without owning a dealership. Joe and Ann at Squared away have a license and use it when they do their laser alignments. My understanding is that it's very pricey and needs to be renewed every year.

OBD scanners for cars can run 5 k. I'm sure spyder would cost the same. You would never spend that much on dealer repair to justify that cost. I think the spyder it very reliable in that area.

The interface is $500. The Megatech license prices range from $80 for 6 months to $650 for 10 years. The Megatech license will give you options not available to BRP dealers. http://www.brpbuds.com/index.html This is a seller I found on the internet. I do not make any recommendation for them. Just an example I found. So for a club to buy. $800 for a laptop, $500 for interface and $150 for a 1 year license. So for under $1,500 you're up and running for a year.
