• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP vs Show Chrome trailer harness

I just purchased a used BRP hitch, which did not include the harness. Should I purchase the BRP harness or the Show Chrome harness - anyone have the latter??

I will probably opt for an Alumina (or similar) trailer, since all the local dealers (a) don't have a white 622, and (b) still want over $3000 for one. (Found one in FL for $2499, but it was $800 to ship, and the locals won't price match)... there was a neat teardrop trailer on the 4 sale forum, but it disappeared....

I installed the show chrome harness. Do you have a four or five wire connector on your trailer? Mine is a four wire so the choice was to buy a converter or add a wire and two diodes. The converters run $25 to $50. The diodes cost me $2 and a few minutes to solder them to the wires to block return voltage on the brake light line.

The teardrop sold at a bargain price

Another option: buy the BRP Y harness that plugs into the bike harness and add your own isolator and pigtail to fit the trailer you buy. That's what I did. The project in the link below also included additional lights tied into the same harness.
