• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP video, 6 riders with 4 2020 RT's, 3 day road trip

TicketBait

RT-S PE#0412

Not sure if this has been shown here before, video has been out since the 14th, are any of them on SpyderLovers?

This one looks new to me. They even went to a couple of my favorite places. Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam.

The video said they were "owners." Anybody recognize who?

And yes...I still like that petrol blue.

Since I did not have much luck with new 2018 or 19 in my recent purchase inquiries...I may go to see the 20's.

Tom Dorcey and his wife are one of the couples. He is the leader of Soar (spyders owners and riders) out of Johnson creek Wisconsin. He does own a Spyder RT. Very nice guy.

Yeah askitee, it seems that while they may have heard SOME feedback from owners, BRP hasn't REALLY listened to their customers! :gaah: So the 2020 RT's are still running Kendas, and there isn't any obvious relief in sight!

As a side note I hope the clothing promoted in the video is this summers line up too. I like the white T-shirt with the red spyder symbol as the American flag. I’d buy that! Also like the long sleeve top view T-shirt too. Not on website but I bet it is coming soon.

I would like to have heard their response, and the spyder that they currently have to compare it to. Are they 2009 GS owners, or are they owners of say a 2018+ F3 Limited or RT Limited? It would be nice to know what they are comparing it to.

I also recognized Tom. I agree very nice guy who really cares about Spyders and their riders.

Hmmm 6 people on this tour? Stop the video at exactly 2:22. Look at the picture. How many 2020 Can am Spyders do you count? I count 10 in that picture. They must have shut the road down at the Grand Canyon for a bit and ran this clip with extras. 4 on the road, 2 approaching from behind. 3 parked on the left side of the road (white), one (white) parked in front of building. That’s a lot more than 6 ryders. I’m a video buff guy. I look for those types of things.

We all understand that this is an advertising piece, right? They may well have taken the Spyder out on the road, but this is primarily a video shoot. You can't get footage this clean just by following people around - this is planned and set up (like most of reality TV).

I'm not holding that against them - if they did it as a true documentary piece, it would never have the photographic elements that make us want to watch.

They are all RT owners. I have an RT and an F3L. I have ryden the 2020 RTL, it is a much refined ryde over the pre 2020 RTS.

When this video was produced in September there were exactly 4 2020 RTs in the US. That is it. Those others may be support vehicles. Trust me, there were only 4.

This was a planned advertising shoot. They chose Ryders of RTs and took them to Vegas and gave them a route, they indeed had shots staged in certain areas and support vehicles that were Non 2020 RTS. This was intended to be a commercial, but they really traveled a 500 mile route over 3 days.
