• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP Road Trip Contest

Last summer I submitted a road trip on the site. So far, I've achieved "most viewed" (5800+)....and for a long time was #1 in votes. Recent surges in the competition have made it a tight race. The contest ends on the 15th of January, 2009.

If you haven't already posted a "Road Trip", I would appreciate your support. I really could use the $1,000 second place finish.

Most of you are already registered, so all it takes is a visit, and a vote.

Bribes and gratuities are available upon request.

LD...don't know exactly what that means, but that's the same expression we got on the ride. Because of Hurricane Fay, only the extreme Spyder Ryders participated in the run.

Thanks for your vote :2thumbs:

Just checked it out twodog. I remember reading this a little while back. By the number of views, its either been on there a long time or the main picture they use really draws in the viewers. :D

Well, not only did we steal the show, ride through a hurricane to get there, but I made "Bike of the Month" in Full Throttle Magazine....for the month of October. Hard to believe that don't rate compared to a trip to the dealership for your first service.

Better luck next time. :banghead:

The Twodog made a faithful trip with some real good friends...posted the road trip on Spyderryders.

Not only did we travel through a hurricane to get there (Hurricane Fay), but we stole the show and my bike made "Bike of the Month"...Full Throttle Magazine.

Twodog, in fairness, my ride was not exactly a trip around the corner - it was a six hour ride (three each way) at highway speeds through freezing temps, but whatever, I don't want to get into a flame war with you bro, and in case it has escaped your notice, the Quebec dude is now way ahead of both of us in votes.:dontknow:

I read your story some time ago and enjoyed it, by the way. I thought it was well written.

Regards,

Bruce

Director....nothing personal intended....meant to be humorous. In all seriousness, I would've trailered it. There are many noteworthy stories on the site...best of luck to everybody that documents their adventures.

Happy holidays bud....
