There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. BRP hitch install question

So when I purchased my 2018 F3L in January I had them install an OEM BRP hitch. Today while installing the tag I notice that the fender was missing all of of the plastic on the right inside. Called dealer. Dealer says tech said that this is normal when installing hitch. Anyone have a picture of their for comparison?

The hitch is very close to the right side of the fender so BRP supplies a fender with the cutout for the F3. This is what you have. I installed my hitch from my 2014 RT onto the 2018 F3L and did not order that fender. I am going to attract some 80 grit wet/dry sandpaper to the hitch frame and let it stand down the stock fender for clearance.

There is no reason why they would cut away your fender. I installed mine and did not need to cut anything except I did trim about an inch and a half off the bottom of the hitch mudflap because it was too close to the ground. Ive had it this way for a while and no rubbing on that side. The fender and hitch are about a half an inch apart and no rub marks. I would go back and demand that they replace the fender they cut off. It looks bad. Here is a pic of mine.

Mine was exactly the same, with that cutout. I dealt with it by doing the same to the other side but cleaned up the cut so it follows the molding lines.
Now both sides are the same and it sorta looks like it should be like that.

I did complain to the dealer when it was fitted but was told the above story about it being supplied like that. I got the original, uncut one back anyway.

Ken,

If your dealer did not give you back the OEM fender after they installed the hitch fender then you should ask them for it. That way you can install it if you like.

I'm pretty sure that my future Spyder needs will be via St Boni.....

GM of the store contacted me. He apologized for what was done. And he has ordered a new part. He even said that he did not understand why the Tech did that as the install instructions do not say to do so.
