• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP belt vibration part

I have been away for a while. Have't been able to ride much so I am out of touch.A question. I installed the vibration dampening made by BRP. I have been told that people are having problems with it. Could someone fill me in and is it ok to use it?

There have been some failures noted here on the forum. But mine has shown no issues so far. I have 3k on it. The critical part is to make sure you have the roller centered evenly on the belt. Do this by measuring the overlap of the roller on each side. You should be good to go!

Agree...ag

:agree: it's hit and miss but I think properly installed should be fine. Check it from time to time to see if the roller is solid and not wobbling....

I had the BRP idler installed more than 11,000 miles ago without a single problem. The BRP idler installed is inexpensive and lasts a long time and the belt is covered under the warranty if the idler damages the belt. You will hear stories of the BRP idler failing in this forum but I have yet to find a single real person who had a problem. The idler "appears" to be poorly made because it "wobbles" but I removed it and found it to be very well made. The "wobbly" feel of it is engineered to do that to help it track better on the belt so it does not cause belt wear. My thoughts.

WHAT IS THIS?

2017 CAN-AM SPYDER RT LIMITED and I've been having excessive vibration under the area beneath my butt and seat. Feels like the belt is vibrating off the bike at 60mph or when going up inclines.

Respectfully,
Keese

What you are experiencing is normal but annoying. Either get an idler or ignore it. My thoughts

14000 Kms on mine, all highway miles, and no issues at all. Got rid of the vibes completely.
