• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BRP 1" risers

I just bought the brp risers and read the instructions and well we all know that they are not always the best.

I was wondering if anybody that has put these on had any input. IE: do you really need a gear puller? What should I expect.

Lamonster = God of the spyder world. I know you have done it all. What is your input?

Thanks

Yes, you'll need a gear puller!

The hardest part is getting to the bottom-up bolts on the bottom of the steering cover.

Remove the colored top "tank" panel and then have patience. The bolt sizes are 7mm (or 8mm, don't remember) for the four across the front of the black undercover, and 10mm for the two toward the mid-rear of the black cover.

Be sure and stuff rags in the steering stem hole or you'll lose bolts to the Spyder's "black" hole.... never to be found again.

Patience is needed. Use a mirror and flashlight to find the targets/bolts.

do you have any pics on how to remove the top color tank panels? I want to mount my Zumo 550 to the silver cap piece .

No pics but easy...only four fasteners: two pop-rivets under the seat and two Torx screws under the removable fuse panel in the front trunk.

BTW...you can drill and tap the silver steering cover without taking it all apart as long as you drill in the approximate location shown below:
