There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. broken sway bar bracket/exhaust gaskets/parking brake cable/shocks

Well will start with the broken sway bar bracket after switching out the new penske shocks and my buddy says "your sway bar is loose" and sure as **** the non pipe side bracket was broke, (see pic)

I don't know how long I have drove with this but I have noticed that it was inconsistent cornering. My roommate had just went to bed (he had been up for 2 days straight on a epic fail on bmw m3 with a custom supercharger) so I drove with on bracket. Something I have never heard of these breaking so if someone has from the huligan crowd pipe in.

The penske shocks are going back to them for the second time in less than 2 years, apparently I AM racing.

For those of you who think the parking brake cable is a quick 15 minute job it is a lie, it took a solid hour with one and half people WITH the panels off, so if you have to bring a friend.

The exhaust gaskets were ok (thanks to firefly) and the spyder is now has heat is less.

Also some grease off products work great for getting bugs off the headlights (its the only place I wash)

I did get the panels off for the salt flat pics ( a requirement I am now glad they have) so I am good to go with that as far as the paperwork goes.

the black shock is the new one, (to me) and there is a major difference in certain areas and the bug built red ones are mine are going back to penske.

Seth... Refresh my memory.. The sway bar brackets, those are stock and re-purposed for the install of the racing sway bar? I can't remember.

I think they are... I was all ready to run up into the attic and see if I have them, but my thought is I don't as I think the only thing you don't reuse is the stock bushings.

after far as I remember they use the stock bushing and bracket.

My roommate said if there is enough interest he will make aftermarket stainless steel brackets, said they should cost about $20 plus shipping. He has to make a jig for it and stuff but he would I had enough interest in people.

I mean it should reduce the flex in the front with stiffer brackets.

If you washed your Spyder it might shave some seconds off your 0-60 time .

I talked to the ISCI guys about the 'new' lever they are working on---- and one thing I felt would be a nice addition would be the ability to lock the lever so as to use it for a parking brake--- then you could ditch the rear parking brake like I did......

Also told them BLACK is a must for the new lever..... :D

I agree with you dan, and I would need to have some form of brake on my se-5. the handle one would be great, and if ISCI needs it tested I hope its in the mail.

In black would be much better AND similar to sportbikes breakaway ones.

well, I think I know what the solution is, but I will let you guess.

:roflblack:

AHAHHAHAHHAH, If I would have know about elkas before I got the penskes I would on you about sponorship for the salt flats but as it is I can only say that if a pair of elka's showed up here I would put them on,170 plus a 25 lb wheelchair and stuff. FULL race level,.... just in case you are wondering.

I will see how many sets my roommate needs for the better brackets.

you can just jack your spyder and move your spyder around to see if they are broke. Anyone ever heard of these breaking before?
