• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Broken steering lock

While on holiday in Scotland a few week ago, some evil person who was born out of wedlock decided to break into my RT, after mullering the trunk lock and opening it to steal nothing then decided to wrench the locked handlebars breaking I imagine the steering lock pin, before I tear it all apart to see, does anyone know and can guide me to the diagram of the steering lock mechanism, I've searched my service manual but not found anything related to steering lock mechanism.

The key turns to the lock position but feels like its dragging a bent pin over a plate and of course does not lock, but the key still to the lock position but only on full left or right H/bar.

don't want to dismantle it without some idea of what I need to buy

Thanks in advance

Alex

Don't know. ..!!

from what I see on the parts list it looks like they do not sell any parts for the ignition switch. May be you have to get a whole new switch..:banghead: you could stop by a shop and ask the tech to look at one of those dess they have been replacing, switches to get an idea of what is needed to fix one...:dontknow:
