• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Broken Pin on Quick Releae Panel

Has anyone experienced a broken pin on a quick release panel and if so, is there a fix other than buying a new panel? I was doing my BajaRon Anti-Sway bar install and when replacing the side panel, noticed one pin still stuck in the grommet. I have always been careful about removing these panels due the pins appearing to be easy to break off. The only good that came out of this was the ride I experienced after the install. I am having to re-learn how to ride due to the quick response of the spyder when going into curves now but I love it.

I repaired pins on other bikes with liquid metal, a two part epoxy. Sand the area around where the pin broke, wash with alcohol, dab some epoxy to stick the pin and build a fillet up around the pin. To mount the pin temperately to get the it lined up I have used medium crazy glue first to located it, then build a fillet up with the epoxy. Let dry for a few days to get good and hard.

Thanks for your help. I had thought about doing something similar to that but wasn't sure if it would hold. I think i am going to give that a try. Surely beats buying a new one. My dealer quoted me a price of $165.00 just for the panel without the chrome or insulation pads.
