• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2008 Spyder SM5 that I just bought in January. I had read about noisey brakes before I bought this,it has about 3500miles on it and the brake pads have never been changed out and I have noisey brakes-my question is would it be worth checking with a dealership about warrenty on these ? Ive read they would replace them . Only thing is that my Spyder no longer is within the warrenty period. ?:(

Doubtful you can get them covered. The new style brake pads are less quiet---- best just go have them done if it's bugging you that much---

:agree:I paid for the 3 gen. brakes on my own dime, And I'll tell you they work and worth every penny.

I've heard good things about the Gen 3 pads. Will definitely put those on when it's time. As for noise, whenever my brakes start making noise I just do some cleaning - rotors, etc - and they shut up for a while. :D

Do you mean more quiet? I've the 3rd gen. on the rears and now I can stop without the annoying squeal.

I have 12,000 miles on the spyder and the dealer said I have about 80% of the front brakes left, which is wjy I left them on. It seems that most of the noise was coming from the rear.

Have an '08 SM5 with 17000 milles and the original brake pads. Used to squeal really bad. Took all three apart, cleaned up everything, sprayed on disc brake quiet, and put it back together. That was about a 1000 miles ago and it still doesn't make a sound. Great stuff in a can!
