• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

if you look at the picture below, you will see that i lost the screw to my back light. Does anyone know what type of screw I need to get as the replacement?

Thanks in advance for all your help..

I rummaged through my junk box until I found one. I can't tell you the size or type. It won't be listed in the BRP parts list because the license light is sold as an assembly.

Take a good look at the lens. The boss in the center that the screw tightens against may have broken out. That is a common cause of lost screws or lenses. A broken lens can be repaire with styrene or acrylic plastic and plastic model cement. A repalcement lens is available from ESI. Another cause of lost screws is the fact that the screw goes into a sheet metal bracket, and can't be tightened solidly against the bracket. I suggest a dap of RTV silicone on the screw hole just before you install the lens. Let it sit overnight after you install the lens, before riding. A couple of dabs of silicone at the edge between the lens and the housing is more good insurance. It can be slit later to remove the lens to access the bulb.

When I still had the 2008 SE5 I replaced the screw before I lost it. Just get one with a thicker shank, preferably a self taping one with a round head that will fit in the opening. If you get one the same size, you will lose it again. After changing mine I had no issues.
