• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Brake fluid corrosion...

Did the bump test today. Had paper towels wrapped around the res caps.

Found out the rubber speed bumps behind the theater are a little too rough on the suspension for the speeds I was going.:opps:

Rode around to the front of the building and went over the cement bumps. Lots of jostle without the jarring. Took the long way home going on rough roads, making aggressive turns.

At home, took out the paper towels and they were dry. Yay!!

Next week, off to the Dealer.

Well, Spydee has been in the shop for a little over two weeks now. The service manager has taken pictures of the corrosion and sent them to BRP for warranty work. He said it's a sandpaper and paint job but wants to hear back from BRP either way before they get started fixing her.

Thinking on getting Carlo involved in this. This isn't that difficult or expensive!

Spydee is coming home from the dealer on Thursday. They sanded out the corrosion and repainted. All work done under warranty. Also getting my odometer update done.

Glad I found a good dealer.:2thumbs:

Hi Joy. Glad to hear the dealer got the OK to do the work under warranty. That was a good catch on your part. How many miles did you have on your Spyder at the time you discovered the problem?

Spydee is a '09 with a little over 12k.

I would suggest to everyone, if you haven't already done so, take a peek at the break reservoir and make sure the vents are pointing to the back. If they aren't, look for corrosion.
