• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bouncing gas gauge

Well, I have had my 2010 RTS almost two months, I have only been able to ride ,around the yard, due to neck surgery. I have had a friend ride me, I feel it is running hot also, takes forever to open trunk, can't open seat to get to gas tank, finally took a screw driver pried it open and took out the rod that locks it, and now just hold the seat down with butt action. The tumblers in the switch I feel are bad, I am having trouble with the dealer in my area, because I did not buy it from him, getting anything done, even though this should be warrenty work. The gas gauge started bouncing after about two fill ups, so you never know how much gas you have unless you keep mile check. After spending all this money, I am so unhappy. Any thoughts from you guys that have had this bike longer??? By the way after about 30 miutes trying to get the trunk open, I couldn't close it, that was another 20 minutes.....

There is a warranty fix for the bouncing gas gauge. There is also another set of threads discussing the issue on this site. Uncooperative dealer should be reported to BRP. Let us also know, so we know who to avoid.

what is the warranty on the gas gauge, my dealer didn't know anything about a fix but said " oh.. they all do that". I have heard of others fixing theres by disconnecting, but will a dealer actually replace gauge with a working one?

The bouncing gas gauge fix is a replacement (revised) gauge. They replaced mine and it is very steady...and somewhat more accurate. Have your dealer contact BRP tech support. They should be able to help.
