• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I started a thread as a question last year with our RT... So this year with our new RS I figured I would start one for both in the general forum. I find it fun and we get to learn more about our rydes along the way.

Would someone be kind enough to tell us how to tell with an RS...

Want to learn when our bike was built by BRP?

Well your friends @ SpyderLover is here to help....

From -Scotty... the month and year of manufacture should be shown on the VIN # sticker on the swingarm.

From docriverside...If you look through the vent just below the left mirror there is a sticker that has the model #, date and time. Use a flashlight it is near the top and forward on the frame. I found it when installing the GPS system. My first thought was this must be when they put it together.

So that makes our RT... BRP Born On Date of 8:50:49 on 01-20-2010 :ohyea:Purchased 4-21-2010 ... Assembled 4-26 & 27, took delivery 4-28-2010 @ 5:33 pm in Enumclaw, WA. :spyder2::2thumbs::doorag::bowdown:

Thanks, Scotty ...

... according to the sticker, Lucylle (don't ask) was born in May 2011 ... so a delivery date of 6/01/11 tells me she didn't spend much time warehoused.

However, that's enough time for the change control program to have fed the jumper issue back into manufacturing. My sense is that there may be a whole lot more to this.

Day two of ownership had her back in the shop for a tire losing air ... badly ... and the lead tech at the dealership told me he had run BUDS and there were no issues, no faults recorded and nothing that needed to be done. It will be interesting to talk to him at the 600-mile checkup about this issue.

tnx to all, hawk

And next time I'll do my research first (he said, as the egg dripped from his chin).
