• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Boot Camp videos

These started popping up in my suggested YouTube videos. They would have been invaluable to watch before I went to Air Force boot camp. Too bad there was no internet then.

The Marine ones are the best. I see now I would not have lasted 10 minutes in USMC boot camp. I really respect those guys:bowdown:

Hi Rogue Hawk,

Re: I went to Air Force boot camp.

I don't know what Air Force you were in. The one I was in it was called Basic Training.

But, I think I was in a few years before you were in.

And the Army uses the same term.

The Navy & the Marine Corps use the term Boot Camp.

I thought the 1st video was pretty much staged. Not much resemblance to what I actually encountered at MCRD in the mid 60s. The "push-ups" being done by the guy in the middle would have resulted in the entire platoon "learning" what a proper push up is....... and for an extended period of time. PT in the video was very sloppy and not representative of what it was really like...... Just my experience. Yours may vary..... Jim
