• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Body Panel Removal from RS

I have a new 2016 RS and need to remove all of the body panels to install LED lights, a radio, and to place decals. There seems to be only a few hex head bolts on the panels, and I guess there are a lot of clips I don't see. I have a manual and shop book, but they only have exploded views but no instructions. Anyone have any tips as to the sequence to remove the panels, how to do it, and anything else that I need to know. Thanks.

Here's what I do...

Start with the mid panels (where your knees are). Then the front panels (pop the frunk lid to get the push pins) then the rear panels (you have push pins under the seat and torx under the splash panel) youy will have to disconnect the turn signals. Then on to the air dams. finally the splash guards (there are 10mm bolts under going to the frame. Finally the top plate and the tail piece. The frunk can be removed as a unit or just the lid...good luck take your time and keep the screws and pins with each panel...

Check owners manual

I have a 2012 RS-S my owners manual has pretty good instructions. Are you sure they don't have instructions in your owners manual for removing panels???

If not maybe try down loading a 2012 RS-S owners manual.

:agree: if that is still not clear? You can look up things like changing the battery and such on YouTube most the jobs start by showing what panels need to come off and how. Several of the sway bar videos show hoe to remove the frunk. Just look through YouTube you will find a ton of help.

Nice job JerryB. To get my panels off my 2008, I just have to snap my fingers once, and click heels 3 x's.
