• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Heads up to springtime BRP tourists! The Linn Cove Viaduct that wraps around Grandfather Mountain on the BRP will close for three months of road resurfacing and bridge repairs from March 1 to Memorial Day. The viaduct is 18 miles southwest of Blowing Rock. The two parkway entrances/exits that straddle the viaduct are Holloway Mountain Rd. at the north end and U.S. 221, Blowing Rock Hwy, Milepost 305, at the south end. U.S. 221 will be a scenic but busy detour during the closing.

Bummer.....

Right when it's time to ryde.....city must have been in touch with the rodent to keep you all off the road...:gaah:

BRP parkway closing

Thanks for the heads up; guess I'll get the scenic tour end of April:yes::clap::ohyea::thumbup::thumbup:

I saw that on their website yesterday. That really sucks since that is a route that we often take on our day trips down the BRP from the Boone area down to Little Switzerland. We actually were looking at doing this on the first warm spring days in April. Looks like we will have to just take the detour.
