With my first organized ryde of the year coming up, I went out to the garage, this morning to check tire pressure, make sure my Garmin is charged, and, generally, ensure I am ready to ryde on Saturday morning on the Maryland Spyder Web's White's Ferry Ryde.
While I was at it, I grabbed a non-aerosol bottle of Black Dymond Detailer (BDD), just to "touch up" a few things, and to remove finger prints from my mirror (had to replace that plastic disk, this winter :banghead: on the right side)
I ended up going over the entire Spyder, and was amazed, once again, how great that stuff is! Since I cleaned it, earlier this Spring m(soap and water in the driveway), it just had the typical garage dust on it. What amazed me was how little of the BDD I needed to use to end up with a mirror like surface. By the time I'd done just a few pieces of Tupperware, there was enough detailer on the microfiber cloth I was using to do the rest - one side was damp, the other dry, and I simply wiped with the damp side of the cloth, then buffed with the dry side. I stood back and looked, when I was half done, and could not believe the difference.
This stuff is great!
