Does anybody make a better battery for an RS? More amps or more reserve?
I ordered one of these, and it should be here this Friday.

It is an AGM battery with 24 Amp/Hr and 360 Cold Cranking Amps, where the stock battery has 21 Amp/Hr and, I think, 350 CCA. This battery is currently on sale and cost me $77 shipped to the house.

Battery has been another project on my list of To-Do's.
Been thinking about getting some LIPOs from Ebay, stringing them together and getting some charging equipment. Though, I already have a couple $$ invested in my LIPOs from my helicopter that I don't use any more...I could probably just use those for the project.
Just no time to figure out what I could use for charging while the spyder is running. And of course there is the small fire risk... :/
It's been awhile, I should just google to see if they make LIPO motorcycle batteries now. I'm guessing they prob do.

Is that battery likely to fit a 2010 RT also ?

How long is the warranty? I didnt see that in the ad.
This one is made in China, but so is everything else!
The Scorpion battery has a 1 year replacement warranty.
Here is another one with good specs, but a 2-year replacement warranty for a bit more. Not clear where they are made...

Here is an interesting series of very detailed comparison tests of five top rated motorcycle batteries, including the Scorpion, Motobatt, Odyssey, etc. They are using a smaller battery, but the comparisons are still informative.

Thanks for the link. I will need to dig into it deeper when I have some more time. From what I read so far, it looks like the MBatt in their test would be a really good option, especially if I decided to use it just to run my LED lights.
Just curious; where are you going to mount the second battery?
Lithium Ion batteries are currently available, but I am not sure if they have one that will work on the Spyder yet. You may want to take a look at www.4xspower.com . I am thinking about talking to them about a secondary battery to power all of my LED lights, leaving the main Spyder battery for cranking and stock lighting only.
