• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best to check around

I get a number of "newsletter/ads" everyday mostly from electronic stores i.e. Tigerdirect. Yesterday I saw that they had a UPS for a good price, APC brand and was ready to push "execute order" which included $13 for freight when I had a brain blast and put the model # into Ebay search and what do you know, there the same one was from the same company with free shipping. Saved $13 for more farkles.

Maybe everyone already do this, but just in case.

And then there are the "free shipping" on your order items. Until I put the Alaska zip code in. :roflblack::roflblack:

My latest: Wanted to buy a leather shirt from LeatherUp. Shirt was on sale for $99.95. Free Shipping included. I'm in. Hit the order process, fill out all the information, and they want $60.00 to ship my $99.95 item to Alaska's largest city--UPS Second Day Air. We are not in the bush here and do not require the dog sled express for delivery.

I contacted LeatherUp and asked why they could not use the same box they are shipping all the other free orders in and send it to me. The only downfall, is it would take perhaps a week longer to get here. Usually--three extra days. No reply from LeatherUp. No further ordering attempts will be made by me either.

One of the downsides living in paradise. :joke:

Way to go....

I always start by finding what I want then check the sponsors here then off to ebay. But even there you need to do some searching.:spyder:
