• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking to connect a Autocom speaker accessory part no.2275 to my speakers and Superpro Autocom unit so that I can have sound through my helmet, not the speakers and control via the left hand switchblock controls re volume, ipod, radio etc.
I need to gain access to the positive and negative wires for both speakers, then using posi tap connectors connect.

So my questions are;

Which speakers are the most accessable front or rear?

If, Front speakers, what is the wire colour coding + & - left and right?

If, Rear speakers, what is the wire colour coding + & - left and right?

What guage is the wiring? so I can get the correct size posi tap connectors

Trust my questions are not too dificult.

Regards
John

I accessed the front speakers but you have to strip down quite a bit to access the wires

I would go for the back speakers -You dont need to remove the speakers just remove the side speaker housing each side of
the Rear trunk and you will see the speaker wires going to the rear speakers connections - Posi-taps can be connected there
Not sure size of Posi-taps to use either the smallest ones or the next size up but not the largest

Good luck its worth doing - I connect a Bluetooth transmitter to the 3.5mm jack plug from the Auotcom switch

The speaker output may not be directly compatible with your Autocom sytem, and could damage it if the volume is turned up too high. A better solution would be to tap into the speaker wires, installing a Hi-Lo converter, whose output is then run to the comm system. The handlebar volume control still works, but the speakers remain live. I used an adjustable output PAC converter from ABC Warehouse, but there are many others. You will also need an RCA to 3.5 mm stereo adapter cable to adapt to the Autocom. Great combinatation, and it won't blow your comm system with too much wattage.
