There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Beaded seat for F3s?

Spyder Ryders,
has anyone purchased a beaded seat in order to gain more comfort and being in more air to the nether region? If so, let me know if you liked it and what site and size you got for the F3s. I was thinking of just a rider portion (not passenger). Thanks!!!

I was turned on to Bead Riders by a fellow Spyder Rider at Spyder Rendezvous last year and have been using them on my 17 F3T ever since. The longest I've gone on the Spyder since I've had them is about 350 miles and they work well. My rear end is not as sore using them. They work almost as well as the Ultimate seat I had on my 13 RT-L and a lot cheaper. I recommend them.

Thanks! What size did you go with (they have several)?

I made my own bead seat using a Walmart car seat bead seat. You just unweave the beads into any size and shape you wish. It's a little work, but it's easy and cheap to do. You could do this to try it out. Bead seats are not for everybody, but many people love them. I don't really care for them that much, but my wife LOVES hers. :2thumbs:

I bought 2 beaded seat cushions (his and hers) made for motorcycles on E-bay for $17! I thought for the money it was worth a try. They seem to work well, keeping our “bottoms” cooler and comfortable in hot weather. We have even used them on my harley and in the car on long vacation trips! I didn’t use the elastic straps that comes with them because they seem to stay put. (Just don’t stand up) And you can always throw them in the frunk if unwanted or for security reasons. They do sit you a bit higher and will somewhat “roll you” taking a high “G force” corner. All in all I’d recommend trying them! You could always make a beaded necklace out of them!

Beaded seat

Hi, I just completed a 4 day, 2k mile ride a couple of weeks ago to north Georgia and area with my COG club. I purchased a cheap $11.75 bead seat to see how it would work on the trip. Well, it worked great, my butt stayed cool and dry. :ohyea:I did the Dragon with my club riding their C 14 sport touring bikes, very fast, and had no trouble keeping up with them, top end, never. Oh, BTW, I also have the Monster flash on my 2016 F3 Ltd. Ran mostly 3rd gear throughout and rarely used the breaks (engine breaking, 4k+ RPM). Anyway, did a long day coming home, about 570 miles and my butt was comfortable and dry. So, yes they worked for me.:clap:BTW, cruised at 74 mph all the way home and averaged 31 mpg. Not the greatest, but we don`t buy these toys to be frugal.

It’s nice to hear I wasn’t imagining the benefits of using a beaded seat cushion! Also if you happen to get stuck riding through a quick rain shower it would keep your butt out of the water pooling into your motorcycle seat!
