• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bald Knob Cross Blessing 2015

So tomorrow is Bald Knob Cross Blessing of the Bikes. Basically, there is a 111 ft tall cross in Alto Pass, Southern Illinois (www.baldknobcross.com). Once a year the Blessing is held from 6 am to 7 pm with a chili lunch around 2. Everyone goes up in groups and gets in a prayer circle and prays for safe ryding over the next year and gets a small cross as a momento. It's a beautiful area to ride and there are also several wineries in the area that can be visited also. Is any other spyderlovers going to be there? For me, my first bike was a 1991 honda nighthawk that I purchased when I was 18, a few days after my birthday, which is March 13 to be exact. My first real ryde was to the Blessing of the Bikes with my dad and about 12 of his buddies from work. It was my first "pack" experience and first event on a motorcycle. I just purchased my 2012 spyder RS in march of this year and have only logged about 100 miles on the backroads. I am a paraplegic and had to wait on floorboards and a backrest to be able to ride and also the 600 mile first service which was done last weekend. I find it very fitting, and more like its "meant to be", that my first real ryde on my spyder will be with my wifes dad and his friends to go back to the same place I went 13 years ago tomorrow. I wrecked my Hayabusa 4 years ago this month on a curve by a concrete factory where a bunch of sand had lightly covered the road and I couldn't see it, causing me to go into a skid and lose control. It feels great to get back to something I love, not letting the wreck take away my ryding, and thought I would just pop in here and give my thoughts on the whole thing. This community has been awesome to me with encouragement and information, and I hope to see other fellow spyder ryders there as well. To all those reading this from spyderfest, I hope you are all having an amazing time and I too hope to be there next year. Happy and safe ryding all!! If anyone is going, drop me a pm and maybe we could get blessed at the same time.

Glad you are back out in the wind again
