There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Baker Wings

Baker Wings, are they effective in keeping you cooler during long hot rides? What impact do Baker Wings have on gas mileage?

I'm leaving in three week for a long hot trip across California, into Nevada and Colorado to visit some old friends. Then heading north to Yellowstone Park to visit Yogi. After a big picnic basket lunch we'll be heading north to Calgary then back down through Vancover and bay to the San Francisco Bay Area. 18 days of riding, eating and good company.

Expect to hit some hot weather. Your thoughts on the Baker Wings would be appreciated. Thanks

Folks that have them sure seem to love them. (I only had them on my 'Wing...)
They probably do affect fuel mileage, but that of course would depend on how you have them set up as far as their wind-redirecting chores...

Yep

Love my wings on RT...definite temp change warmer/wind blocked or cooler on AC/open position...NO on change in mpg

Recently installed...live in SW FL, VERY useful..Haven't seen any mileage change in last two fill ups.

I love them, they keep me cooler in summer and warmer in winter, I am a year round rider. No change in fuel mileage.

Love my air wings w/inner panels. When caught in rain unexpectedly I just flip the inner panel closed and close the wings and a lot of the wet leg is avoided. No difference in milage.

Ditto all of the above. I had them for 95K on my 'Wing and installed them shortly after buying the RT. Great for when it's cold, good for when it's warm.

Yes I do like my Baker Air Wings

I bought the Baker Air Wings at Spyderfest and love them. They keep you warm and cool you down depending on the position.

I like my baker wings, if you do install them, discard the aluminum acorn nuts and get some self locking nuts instead, easy to adjust, and will not loosen when you adjust them.

18 days?? I wannna go. I was really bothered by the heat on the spyder before the Bakers were installed. I ride a Harley Ultra with OE air wings and felt the spyder was much hotter riding or stopped. Adding the wings made the ride a heck of a lot more comfortable. Go for it. You will not be disappointed.;)

I have found that during the summer if I remove the air deflectors under the mirror the top part of the Baker wings does a much better job of controlling the air flow.

I love mine. But the bolts do get loose. have to check before every ride. I lost one on the way to Spyderfest. had it replaced. the bolts were tight when I left. must be the vibrations, cause every bolt was loose when I got home.

I tried this yesterday after reading your coment it does seem to help. I will put them on when it gets cold again.

Ordered Baker Wings yesterday. I have very little mechanical ability but after watching their video I think I can do it!!
