• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bad Key Code

Has anyone had this come up on the instrument cluster? My spyder was left out in a terrifice rain storm this afternoon and when it was over I tried to start it and not even a peep and the message came across Bad Key. So I went home about 2 miles and got my spare key and same thing with the spare key message said Bad Key. The rain water was even under my seat when i lifted up the seat. I am goin to try disconnecting the battery cables for about 15 minutes and see if that is any help. Would appreciate hearing if anyone else has run across this problem.

Well I trailered my
spy-de.gif
to Ingles Performance today and they hooked it up to the computer and rebooted the module and had to have the spare key to do this othewise afterword the bike would only run they said for 2 minutes and shut off if this process was not done with the spare key also. This was a no go also. So then they call BRP and they said it was the DSS Iginition Control Module that had gone. So they are shipping a new one to arrive on Wednesday for replacement. Good thing this item was in stock so hopefully I will be back in business on Wednesday.

Very unlikely. I've been in rain that would float the Ark and never had any issues.

:agree: I've both ridden and left it parked in torrential downpours without any Spyder electronics issues.

I drove to work yesterday thinking..geez..it sure is dark out, maybe I better cage it today..as I fly up the highway..lol. Get to work and about an hour later, down pour for about 3 hours. Poor spyder sat there in the rain looking all sad. At first break, drove her home and put her back in the garage. no problems at all the next day.
