You could have made this easier by stating what year the RT is ( it makes a big difference ) I have had many Utopia backrests on various touring bikes and imho there is nothing out there that can compare in comfort - adjustability - the pouch - and it's looks ...... Plus since you have a 2015 adding on to your seat is a 15 minute job .... take off the cap behind the driver ..... take a sharp serrated knife and cut a straight SLIT through the foam .... pop open the seat and you will see four holes ( they might have caps ) that match the bottom bracket of the backrest .... push the upright piece thru the slit in the foam and attach the backrest .... your done ............ Tips instead of using 10mm torx bolts get 10mm HEX head bolts ... they are much easier to work with .... and the angle of the backrest can altered ( for more lumbar support ) by putting a piece of wood or plastic of the thickness that will change the angle to suit you ...... Annnnnnnnnnd the price is very competitive .............Mike :thumbup:

My choice was the "Smart Mount Driver Backrest" made by Big Bike Parts, and available from Value Accessories at store.valueaccessories.net I chose the small pad, but if I were to do it over again, I'd select the large pad. Having said that, I do like the backrest and it's waaaay less costly than the official Can Am backrest.

I put BRP's rider backrest on my 2014. installation was unbelievably easy: four bolts to the seat pan, pop out the plug on top, and BOOM!
Initially: it wasn't set up for any rake adjustment. At SpyderFest 2016; I bought the upgraded bracket, and Brentc changed it over for me in the Hotel room...
...surrounded by the rest of us, who were trying to keep the "Barley-Pops" from getting warm! :cheers:
I liked it so much, that I pulled it off the bike when I traded it in. It'll be transplanted over to my 2018! :2thumbs:

My 2014 came with a Standard seat and drivers backrest. The backrest tended to push me too far forward. I bought the adjustable BRP bracket and it is now perfect. Although, I would probably go for an aftermarket if I didn't have one already. I think BRP is way too proud of theirs....

standard and now comfort seat. blueknight reworked utopia first and
now irvin reworked again plus the 1 inch setback. still utopia stuff,
other than the stir stick pieces for better angle.:yes:
