There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Backrest for the 2014 RT

Has anyone purchased the BRP backrest with there RT? I'm thinking about adding that to my
new purchase. It's a little pricy but sure adds class.

Thanks,
Ron

On order

Ordered one for our 2014 RT Limited custom seat. Dealer tells us that they think they may it by mid March. He has backrests for the standard seat in stock. We had a Utopia back rest on our 2012 RT limited and I loved it, but I had to pull it when we rode two up.

Ask Powersports is where my 2014 is coming from. I've had Utopia in the past and agree it's very nice, however I think the color match with the BRP would be better suited.
Just didn't want to be disappointed.

Since they're non-adjustable; it makes good sense to actually sit on (and preferably RIDE!), a bike with one in place; before grabbing your wallet.
I tried one, and it was VERY comfortable... for me!

I got mine from the dealer I purchased from, central Florida power sports. At first it did not seem comfortable, however, a slight adjustment of my feet and legs and BAM it felt real good. Have been ryding with it in place since I got the spyder. I do think that I will be removing it for short rydes around town, but it will definitely be on for trips longer than 1 hour.

How tall are you guys; and what's your inseams?
Let's see if we can build a general concensus, of who it seems to fit best! :2thumbs:
I'm 5'10", with a 31" inseam

When I test drove the 2014 RTs (before purchasing one), I test drove one without the back rest, and then I test drove one with the back rest

I really like the backrest

but..... I purchased an Ultimate Tall Boy for my new 2014 RTS so........ now I am searching for something to replace the Ultimate backrest as I don't like it as much as the BRP one...

I just inserted a 6mm flat washer in between the two front bolts of the locking mount and the flat seat mount and it actually tilted the seat back to give some relief to the pushing forward I felt.

Tilt backrest down - washers in back instead of front of bracket????

Thinking about the geometry of the seat bracket, wouldn't you add the washers to the back of the bracket to tilt the back of the bracket down, thus make the backrest go back a little....just trying to understand.....thanks....
