• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Backdraft Eliminator designed, built, and installed!

Finally got my Backdraft Eliminator designed, built, and installed. Had one on my Goldwing and loved it. Also creates a nice space for decals. This post is about the shield on the passenger backrest, not the flags.

Nice flags!!!! My wife is my back draft eliminator :joke::joke:. But really, I've found that a good VENTED windshield and adjustable winglets under the windshield moves the still air bubble away from both me and my wife. Also, and even better, is a bag on the safety chrome trunk rack.

Joel, FWIW, from Title 4 United States Code, Chapter 1, § 7. "Position and manner of display
The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or flags, should be either on the
marching right; that is, the flag's own right, or, if there is a line of other flags, in front of the
center of that line." You should reverse the position of the two flags on your Spyder.

That has been corrected since the photo was taken.

Looks like it would create drag.

Not any more than the person/s sitting on the Spyder as they ride!

Besides, while the Spyder is moving forwards with someone onboard, the air flow just there is a bit turbulent, but mainly towards the front of the Spyder, hence the need to stop or eliminate 'the back-draft'!

I suppose so.

It really works! And, it works really well when there is no passenger. It helps create a bubble and reduce wind turbulence. I rode a couple hundred miles today and what a difference it made. I also noticed the flags were waving the correct direction. Without the backdraft eliminator, the flags were actually waving towards the front of the spyder. They really were! That is how much backdraft there was.
Here is a picture of the one on my Goldwing:

It is a actually mounted to the trunk lid and is 10-1/2" tall because the piece of plastic i had was 12x16. It has 2 tabs 1-1/2" long that attach to the trunk hinges. There is also 2-sided tape used.
