• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yep
She could have her own spyder - problem solved!

A bit difficult to offer any constructive help when we don't know what model spyder you have...

I have always had ones from Utopia ....they are thinner and far more adjustable .......... Mike

The BRP backrest is not too bad ... that is if you’re ryding solo or have a partner than is on the thin side. My wife and I are average size ... not thin, not large - very average. Our 2018 RTL was very comfortable for both of us without the backrest. I definitely like it when I’m solo ... which is about 75% of the time.
I will be looking at other seats / backrests in the future just to make the long haul more comfortable for both of us.

I like to ride with a back rest and highway pegs ,get my feet out in the air . I find it comfy ,and it is good to have more positions to ride in .:doorag:

The BRP backrest that I use has a switch underneath the seat. So you lift the seat (as if you were putting gas into the vehicle), pull the switch/lever, and then backrest comes out. Thus, you could leave it in all the time until you wanted to ride 2 up, and then just remove it easily and put it back in later.

As someone else mentioned, there's also a bolt you can adjust to tweak how far forward the backrest leans. And the backrest folds forward to facilitate the passenger's access to the back. That way she doesn't have to squeeze in between your backrest and hers to take her seat.

Hope this helps...

I have the 2017 RTS with the BRP backrest. I ride with it installed when it is just me. When the wife is along, I remove it.

:agree: Use the backrest whenever you get the chance for some solo riding, and pop it out, when you've got your Bride going along!

The Utopia does the same thing if you get it with the " easy out " ....and for $200.00 + less ..... Mike
