• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hmmm, so how hard is it really to install the back rest on a RS? :helpsmilie:
Being female, I'm mechanically inclined, but not sure looking at the installation instructions/pictures. It looks somewhat easy but on the other hand, it looks like a pain in the butt. How long should it take? :dontknow: I dont want to take it to the dealer cuz they want to charge me an arm and a leg. :gaah:
Any help is appreciated.

it was easier then it looks the instructions REALLY blow , there is a post with pictures on how to do it somewhere im going to look for it unless i get beaten to the punch . jsut taken your time and youll get it . when they say the hardest thing is routing the release cable its probably the most difficult part and its really not that hard. take your time and youll get it . After i did it on mine i probably could do it in 45 min since i know what im doing now.

Here is the link I used to help me .. http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17900

:agree: Routing the cable was the bigest PITA. inistructions didnt explain or show that step very well. Took me 1hr and 15mn from pullin the pannels to going for a ryde.

I would recomend getting the correct size torx in a socket. Its much easyer and faster.

Thanks for the information...going to attempt it in next day or so when I have a few hours to play with it. Happy riding! :ohyea:
