• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I see there's been a lot of good activity on SL including members with new rides and the site going over the 10,000 member mark. :thumbup:

I know that's just a number but that means that 10,000 people took the time to go through the registration process even though some have moved on since then, there's still a lot of lurkers here too so like I say it's just a number but it's a good number. :doorag:

Christmas day I had a major attack on my main server that shut me down and to top it off I got some kind of flu bug or something that pretty much wiped me out till today. It was hard to enjoy my two boys being home for Christmas when I was going through this junk as I have a hard time turning the work switch off and just letting go when things are out of my hands. I decided not to look at my emails or try and get any work done when I was feeling the way I was. That's why you didn't see me commenting on some of the threads that I would have normally.

I'm back now and looking forward to a great year for Spyder and SpyderLovers. 2012 was great but I have a good feeling 2013 will be even better. I want to thank you all for the great memories in 2012 and wish you all a great 2013. You folks are the best and that's no joke. Love you all :thumbup:

Glad you are felling better. This bug seems to be going around east Tennessee and northern Georgia. Where you 'hacked' or did the server get a virus infection like you did?

I'm sure the bug your server got was devoured by your Spyder and I'm sure again it wasn't a virus because you seem like a Mac Guy..(sorry Windows):cus:

Hope you've shaken that flu bug.....it always seems to hit right at Christmas time.
I'm glad to hear that your sons were able to be home for Christmas. Always nice to have them near, at that time.

hope the bug you got died...and does not come back...stay healthy and have a Great New Year.....grandson and girlfriend are visiting until saturday...then back to Boise for school....
