• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

B.E.S.T. Warranty

Finally got my BEST Warranty for another three years added to my 2013 RT-L with the original warranty expiring in April , all I can say is shop around. My Dealer was $300,00 more that the lowest offered price for three years and that includes Roadside Service, when I bought the Spyder I was told that the Roadside Service was only available if I added the additional 3 years at time of purchase.

Roadside Service? My regular warranty expired 2/1, so I'm now on B.E.S.T. also... but I didn't know it included Service. I don't recall being told that when I bought it 2 years ago.

How do I find out? Should I call the number on the service card and ask?
TIA

Bert's Mega Mall (a sponsor on this site) offered the best B.E.S.T. price when I got mine. My (former - don't go there, anymore) dealer would not come close to their price, even though I was willing to negotiate with them.

It always pays to shop around. Missouriboy, look at the link, below, 2nd page, for what the emergency roadside service covers . . . it is a link to the B.E.S.T. online brochure.

It is really sad that there are Spyder dealers out there that want to "gouge" us Spyder owners!! We have one of those in my market also. Another Spyder owner and myself have found another dealer 45 miles away that is owner friendly on sales and service, etc. (LIKE NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE!)

Which dealer?

When you buy a BEST warranty, do you have to go only to the dealer that you bought it from?

Grandpot: NO, you have nationwide coverage at all authorized BRP dealers, just like the original warranty. See the link in Post #3 above for a good 2-page read.

It's truly an 'extension' of the original, except for the $50 deductible for each repair event, but $0 deductible for the road service!
Thanks again, Hayfield!

I shopped around first before I went to my dealer. The best price was given at Berts for 699.00 for 3 years. When I went to my dealer to ask his price it was close to 1200.00. I asked "why are you so much higher then other competitors"? He asked what my other quotes were and he said he would match the lowest quote. I did purchase at the dealer for the convenience and trying to keep a good relationship with them even though they were trying to stick it up my you know what!!!

Yeah, when I bought mine the dealer sez "3 year extension for $799 TODAY ONLY" else ya gotta pay regular price for it. I don't recall what the "regular price" was quoted as, but it's anything they want to make up.

Marketing! It's their tactic to deprive you of the opportunity to "shop around." I didn't know that at the time, so I bought it for the 799. Not too bad I guess, compared to your 1200.

Tazzel, got mine for $669 at Bert's. When they emailed me the quote I took it to my dealer for a match and he told me I can have one year for that price

I ride 90 miles to a different dealer than where I purchased . . . which is only 35 miles away . . . for multiple reasons. I do wish I'd given my money to the dealership I now use . . .
