• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

At 1000 miles she quit coughing!

Just like magic at 1000 miles my problem with the coughing and sputtering when you get in it after a hot or cold start is gone.

Might just be something Rotax puts in the ECU to prevent you from running the engine hard immediately after a start to maybe give it some time to get the oil circulated.

I know I've talked to numerous guys with the same problem.

Hmmmm, mine coughs too but it didn't yesterday and I've got about 1700 miles on it now - I'll have to keep that in mind.

I would normally start it up, walk away and let her warm up - just like my old bike back in the carb days. If I didn't let the Spyder warm up, it would cough for a while.

:agree::agree::agree: Same here.

I warm her up to 2 bars before leaving.

Mine did it hot or cold right after a start up - it was pretty embarrassing everytime i let someone drive it around the block they came back crying that it was missing and cutting out.

Anyhow, don't know what the deal is but it's dangerous as well if you pull out in traffic after a stop.
